38 Weeks

He's still going at it! still moving and killing me slowly, lol. Each move has gotten more painful and annoying (ssshhh, don't tell Naty). I've been really good with pain and with dealing BUT I have those rough nights that I think is labor and I usually rough it out OR have given into tylenol so that I could knock out. I'm still sleeping good and can knock out at anytime (except when in pain).

I seen the specialist on monday and he didn't measure the baby like I thought he was, he always does ultrasounds and this time he didn't. He just said if he's big then we'll have to cut a bigger hole......wait....uuuhhh he just laughed but I know he wasn't kidding. My stomach is super huge and it barely got that way in the last 2-3 weeks. I didn't know it was possible to get this huge! Well I'll give you guys a sneak peek.

I also chopped my hair off but its not brushed in the pic. See, I told u I'm huge! out of no where too! and I'm glad its all baby cause I've only gained 14 lbs.

So now, all we've got left is my pre-op appt. on friday and my last NST that day too. I have 6 days left today, I can't believe it!

I got an OFFICIAL DATE!

Ok, so Doctor kept telling me that he'd schedule my c-section for Aug. 2nd then at my last appt. he said Aug 1st and now I'm officially scheduled for Aug 3rd @11am! Wow! this is so real now, I have a date and time!! I couldn't wait for that because the doc can say one thing but it doesn't mean anything till its scheduled so now I have exactly 2 weeks from today to meet my lil boy. That means two weeks to get the last of everything ready and 2 more weeks to sleep all I can.

Today at my doctor appt. I ran into an old friend from high school. It had been 10 years since we last seen each other so we talked for a few minutes before we got called in for our NST but it was really good seeing her after all these years. She's a week pastdue so she was feeling miserable but again, I'm glad I got to see her!

Well my appt. went really good and my water is slowly getting lower and lower, this time it was at 9 so thats another factor that can move up my c-section but again, I keep saying I hope not! I really want to hold out till my date! we'll see. Ok, I better get some stuff done, I still haven't emptied those drawers out so I'll do that now. bye for now.

P.S. I've gained 14 lbs in total now....

37 Weeks= FULL TERM!

yayy! we made it, Nate is done baking and all he needs is time to gain weight and get stronger in there. He's still moving like crazy and sticking his butt through my skin. The contractions are still here and getting worse, more frequent and more painful. I'm still feeling like he'll make a sooner arrival but now that I'm getting so many contractions and nothing is happening I'm starting to wonder....hhmmm. I should be getting a call by tomorrow from my doctor about my date and time. He always told me my c-section would be Aug 2nd but now he's thinking Aug 1st, so it just depends on what he has available. This week is more appts. I have 3 scheduled for Monday, Wed. and Thurs. which makes me feel safe and happy that I'll be monitored.

Today was our 7th anniversary and we just spent the day together running errands and had dinner at claim jumpers! it was so good but I got stuffed so fast and really didn't get to eat too much (bummer) LOL! When we were eating I noticed something that made me a little sad, my big belly was hitting the table in the booth! I was like, "oh hell no!" it made me feel so fat! that is soon to change.

Naty is so close to being done with the bathroom and he moved a lot of the junk that was in the Kitchen and Living Room so my house looks a lot bigger and better. I feel a little more confident about Nate coming now because everything is coming into place. I also helped Bubbs clean and organize his room so thats another stress reliever. Tomorrow I'll be taking all the clothes out of Bubbs dresser (in Audrey's room) so we can get it out! It's the big bulky one that I was talking about that doesn't hold much. I told Naty if he was down to take it out, lol and he said heck ya, take everything out and I'll move it outside so thats happening tomorrow! can't wait. Then we'll buy him a new one before the weekend so that I can put his clothes back in it.

Let's see, what else? OH! I don't have a washer/dryer right now cause Naty also re-did the laundry room so I'm stuck with going to the laundromat!! Naty said he'd go with me so I don't really care now, I didn't want to go alone. Don't know how long it'll be like this but all I know is that it better be fixed before Nate comes!

That's about it, nothing new, I'll see what happens tomorrow at my NST appt. see ya

Doc Appt. 7/16

It had been a long time since I seen Dr. Tsai and I was glad to see him again since he'll be doing my c-section. The appt. went really quick, I was supposed to get a GBS test but since I'm having a c-section theres no need and I'm glad! He just went over my concerns about the baby's size and now he thinks the baby is measuring big. I asked him if that was good of me having a big sized baby and he said it was ok since I'll be having a c-section and the baby was destined to be the size he is and it's unrelated to diabetes since my numbers are under control. So we'll see when he comes cause one doctor says small the other says big. Also, when I see the specialist he'll do another ultrasound (7/27) and let me know his estimated size. I also let him know that I'm having painful contractions and he said to come in if I'm having 3 or more in an hour which hasn't happened, mine are really spaced apart but they hurt!

I had my NST today as well and again, everything is well, a strong heartbeat and fluid is at 11.1, the nurse said it should be between 6-20 so I'm good on that. So, its just the waiting game, only 17 days to go.

36 Weeks

3 Weeks to go!

A slight delay in my posting but only because my internet isn't working that great right now. I'm still going to my NSTs and still having mild contractions. Some pains are worse than others but for the most part they are all associated with pain. I'm still sleeping good, even though its 1AM right now but only because I took a late nap and I'm actually tired right now and can easily fall asleep right now if I layed down.

We got the swing we ordered yesterday and Audrey was so anxious to put it together so I let her help me and she can't stop playing with it. She has one of her dirty dolls in it and loves to start it up and put the music on. I finally finished my room!!! Cleaning it and organizing but still have to hang canvas pictures that my sister drew for me, so far I have 1 done and 1 in progress and the 3rd not even started but I can finish them both tomorrow if I put my mind to it. LOL.

Today at my NST appt. the nice nurse showed me Nate again and let me see his face, his cheeks are super chubby and cute! She was telling the kids that the baby def. belonged to them since he had their cheeks, LOL! they were giggling and laughing because I had just finshed telling them in the car that his cheeks were chubby like theirs. But everything was good with the NST so I see my original doctor on thursday, not the specialist, I'm hoping he'll be able to measure Nate and reassure me that he's doing good and growing. I've lost a little weight but my stomach is popping out even more now, I'm at the point that I don't think it can stretch anymore, its super hard and tight, don't know where else it can go!

But anyway, Nate is kicking my bladder right now so I better go PEE! thats the story of my life ;-)

35 Weeks

4 Weeks to go!

So happy to have less than a month to go and really happy that the baby is doing well. I'm still having NSTs twice a week and don't see the doc till next thursday but after this appt. I'll have to go every week, yayy! its just reassurance that Nate is doing good. My water was at 19 so he still has water to swim in, so far so good.

I've been having braxton hicks every evening and some are pretty painful but its normal at this stage since I'm so close to D day. Nate is still pretty active and moves the most when I'm in bed. Nights are still the same and I'm sleeping pretty good. I haven't been taking my daily naps cause I just have this burst of energy and have been nesting like crazy. Our room is almost finished but I still have 2 bins on my floor that I need to sort through and once that is done then my room is ready to go! Oh forgot, I also need to hang some artwork and make it feel homey or hotel like since I'll be living in here for weeks recovering from my c-section.

I've done some organizing and I was able to hang Nate's clothes and put things away nicely in Audrey's closet. Since they're sharing I can only hang his Newborn and some 3-6 month clothes and the rest are in a big plastic bin that will be switched out while he grows.

I also did some shopping, this week I got his tub, J&J bath set, and swing (thats coming in the mail).

I also put his crib up!! its about time! I'll be washing his bedding before he comes but I just wanted to see it.

My sister drew the animals on canvas so I just need to paint them and hang them, my goal is to do those this week and have them hung by sunday. I also have to find his going home and picture outfit and finish packing my hospital bag but not really that much, he can come anytime and we'd have everything we needed for his so I can relax a little more now.

Anyway, see u this weekend! can't wait to show off my artwork!

Doc Appt. 6/29

Seen the specialist yesterday and things went ok. The doctor checked Nate's size and he hasn't grown in the past 2 weeks. At my last appt. he was weighing in at 4lbs. 8 oz. and now he's 4lbs. 4oz. 2 weeks later, so of course I got scared and he said its nothing to worry about that he just might be a small baby but the thought of him not gaining is what scares me but again he said not to worry about it. Also, since I get NSTs twice a week he said if he sees any dips in his heart or in my fluid levels he'll just take the baby out which really scares me. I don't want him to come early cause of his lung development but if anything were to happen I think I'll try my hardest to keep him in longer and see what they tell me. But if his life is in jeopardy of course I'd rather have him out. I can't wait to hold him and see him but I want him healthy more than anything. Also, the specialist decided to do a 4D so that I can get a look at him and he's ADORABLE! looks just like Bubbs. My doctor gave me a picture but its really hard to make out since his pictures aren't good quality.

Then, I was waiting for the receptionist to get back so she can check me out and give me new appts. and thats when I started to feel awful. I was standing there and trying to concentrate and thats when I started sweating and shaking really bad. so they made me sit down and I passed out! They checked my blood and it was 48, super low so they gave me water and a protein bar and were putting rags on me to cool down and I felt a whole lot better about 10 minutes after, it was really scary. I said, I learned my lesson and I'll never go again without eating! My other problem was that I was cleaning like a mad woman right before so the combination of exercise and not eating almost killed me!

Now things are good and baby is moving and I can't wait to see the nurses tomorrow to get reassurance. I know this will be a constant worry on my mind, uuhh!

Next Appts:
July 1st: NST
July 1st: class
July 6th: NST
July 9th: NST
July 13th:NST
July 16th: Doc and NST

34 Weeks!

5 weeks to go!

I'M BIG! I feel like my belly grew over night, I know it's gotta grow but WOW! its really out there. Still no major problems just the usual uncomfortable feeling that every pregnant girl gets and breathing is getting harder. There's times that I can't breathe and have to stand so that I'm not smashing my lungs but once I get up I could breathe again. Nate should be dropping soon so I think it'll get better instead of worse (positive thinking). I've eaten alot in the past 3 days and know that I've gained some weight, I don't want to gain anymore so hopefully I'll drop a few.

Nate moves ALOT, I know I've said this a million times but he's really hurting me now. He kicks me in the ribs and thats very painful, I don't really know why it is but it hurts alot. I scream everytime he does it. I have a doctor appt. tomorrow so I'll update on whatever he tells me, I'll make sure to ask the baby's weight this time, I hope he hasn't gained to much because of my eating...

Reminders

Ok, I was looking at other people's hospital bags on youtube and I forgot some items!

PJs (I'm still not sure about this one, but we'll see)
slippers
robe
camera
batteries
phone
charger

I turn 34 weeks tomorrow so I'll update then but last night I was up going through the baby's clothes and putting them on hangers, it felt weird, like NOT REAL! I need to buy about 3 more packs of hangers to finish.

I have 4 appts next week
June 29th @3pm.......NST
June 29th @3:40......Doc
July 1st @8:40am.....NST
July 1st @9:30am.....Tubal Class (just to get info, not sure yet)

Ok, I better get back to work, I'm leaving here in a bit to my granny's surprise party. I swear every weekend is something! I'm so tired, don't know how I'm going to do this, its way too much for me.

33 Weeks

6 more to go!

I've had goals throughout this pregnancy, besides the "not gaining too much weight" goal I've had milestones that I've wanted to reach because they meant I was closer to having a baby and the closer I got to them, the better off my baby would be or basically he had a chance to live if I reached these certain weeks. Here's a rundown of my goals and why.

Pregnancy Goals:
To reach 14 weeks (2nd trimester): to reach this point is a big thing because you know that you're less likely to miscarry and this is usually when the fatigue and nausea subside.

To reach 20 Weeks: knowing you're halfway there.

To reach 24 Weeks: Knowing your baby has a good chance of survival (50%) if born at this age, not a good thing but a baby can survive.

To reach 28 Weeks (3rd trimester): Besides your baby having a greater chance of survival, you're in the last trimester!

To reach 32 Weeks: 8 months! Baby surviving with little time in the NICU.

To reach 34 Weeks: Lungs are almost completely developed and many babies born at this stage spend a couple of weeks in the hospital but for the most part do great.

To reach 37 Weeks: Not considered a preterm baby and labor will not be stopped if it were to start.

I was just now realizing that I only have 2 more goals to reach before my lil boy is here. Next week I'll reach my 2nd to last goal, WOW!

I've been very blessed to be able to have kids and blessed to have such healthy ones, this pregnancy has been great with some complaints here and there but for the most part I should NOT complain. It's crazy how I can sleep at night still and I read about other people's stories and how they can't sleep for the life of them and I can sleep at ANY time. I know I have 6 more weeks but if I can't sleep for these next 6 weeks I have this to read and remember how easy I had it!

The baby is still very active and still a night owl, he's up all night and sometimes I wake up to turn my big body over and he's still kicking away. Actually last night Naty was hugging me around 3am (I know cause I had came back in bed after going to the bathroom) and the baby kicked him right when he put his hand on me and yelled, "did the baby just kick you!??" and I said, "UUHH YEAH" and he just laughed and went back to bed. Little Nate has a mind of his own and is up late at night so I hope he doesn't think thats ok when he's here.

Also, I've had some swelling in my feet today, nothing major but I just came and sat on my bed and it went away. I've gotta keep up with my water and watch my salt intake to keep it under control cause my feet got really bad with Bubbs but that was because I didn't take care of myself and didn't know what to do.

Overall, had a good week and hoping this week goes smoothly too. I'm going to make sure to walk this week and keep my eating under control. See ya.
