More Baby Stuff

Our baseball friend Jessica gave us a bag full of clothes for lil Nate. Her baby is 4 months and just grew out of everything so she handed them down to us! We couldn't believe what fit in that little bag she brought! a bunch of stuff. So Naty said we've got to take them out to eat someday so most likely Applebee's! So today while we were out I bought her lil boy a couple of outfits since he grew out most of his clothes. We are so grateful that people care that much about us to give us their baby clothes. I know he'll be born in the summer time BUT we'll be indoors in AC so PJ's are best for him in those conditions. Also, he might be able to wear them up until November (he'll be 3 months) and thats when it starts to get a little chilly. No matter what, he'll wear them all! Even if I have to make them short sleeved ;-) We've also bought a few summer outfits for those days that we decide to take him out (rarely!)

Doc Appt. 4/30

Had a great appt. heard lil Nate's heart, was beating very strong and healthy. Doctor mentioned having him at St. Bernadine's hospital in San Bernardino instead of Kaiser Fontana since they have a contract with them. I'm going to check it out before I say yes so that will be one of our many missions to get ready for him. I checked out their website and it seems pretty good but still I need to look at it with my own eyes and visit their maternity ward.

I also had my 1 hour glucose test and that came out high. I think the range is <130 and mine was 167 so now I've gotta do the 3 hour test. I had gestational diabetes with both my other pregnancies so it's not surprising or upsetting. I know what I have to do to take care of myself and my baby. Also, they found me to be anemic so I've gotta take Iron (bleh) and drink lots of water and eat lots of fiber in addition to the diabetic diet that they'll put me on. No biggie.

I'm also happy about my weight and have gained about 7-10 lbs total. I'm not sure where I was at the beginning but I'll just say 10 lbs. I'm almost 6 1/2 months pregnant so thats good! lol. he wants me to gain 25 which I don't think I'll do, esp. if they put me on the diabetic diet.

Overall, great appt. and I don't have to go in till another month!

A friend of mine asked about my bedding today so I thought I'd look up bedding at target.com and found 2 that I liked. I want something thats cheap but doesn't look cheap and I know target is the best place for that.

25 Weeks Pregnant

My ticker says 104 days but again, since I'll be having a c-section 1 week before I have 97 days left!

I had a little scare on friday and had to go to the L&D, I was hooked up to monitors and given IV for severe dehydration after crapping and barfing my brains out. All the labs came back really good and no sign of anything bad. So I'm not sure if it was caused by a bacteria or virus but I'm finally a lot better. The baby was very active and his heart was really strong. I managed to lose about 7-10 lbs. which I can see in my face. I don't know exactly how much I weighed before I got sick but I know it was more than my last appt. and according to my last appt. I'm down about 7 lbs. so it can be anywhere between 7 and 10. I see my doctor this thursday so I know he'll be upset that I lost weight, lol. In the beginning I wasn't gaining weight and he thought I was dieting or something, yeah right. Let's see what he thinks this time.

I recieved the cloth wipies last week but still haven't recieved the diapers. I can't wait! We're going to set up our room this weekend since we found out that the crib is ready for us. It's funny but we're setting up our room exactly how we had it when Audrey was born. The bed, crib, dresser and tv in the same exact spot. Oh and I'm happy to report that I now have a door to my bathroom. So I no longer have to run to the hallway bathroom in the middle of the night, Naty finally moved the wall over and attached the door so we can now enter our bathroom through our room! its not nice though but it will be soon!

Look what I bought!

Ok, years ago when I first attempted cloth diapering Bubbs I was very unsuccessful with it. I didn't even think to look online or to do reasearch instead I trusted those around me to "teach" me how to cloth diaper my son and that was not fun. He constantly went through and soaked his bedding all the time, after about 2 weeks I totally gave up and threw them all away. So when it came to Audrey I didn't even want to attempt it at all BUT now, I have Youtube and lots of stuff online and came to the realization that I wasn't using inserts or folding them right for a little boy. Also, maybe "old school" diapering wasn't for me and maybe all in ones (AIO) will work loads better! Well this time I've been doing my homework and decided to go with a lady that makes AIOs on etsy. She had 100% feedback and people compared her to bumgenius! I was really happy to hear that! Since bumgenius are about $36 for a 2-pack when she sells them for $9 each! so thats a 50% savings. So I decided to show all my reasearch to Naty and he agreed that these might be the one's for us and said I could purchase 5 now and 5 next month and so on so that its not ONE big amount and one time. I also did some reading on reusable wipes and found some on etsy too.




I bought other colors but didn't want to upload everything but in addition to these I'll be adding hemp liners to absorb and I'll probably be using disposables when we travel so that I don't have an emergency but we'll see, it depends on a lot if we're going to a gathering at our family's houses then we'll use the AIOs but if we're going somewhere else then I'll use the disposables. Like I said, it depends.

6 months!

24 Weeks Pregnant

I made it! My baby is now viable!! thank you GOD! It still isn't a good idea to have a baby this early on so I pray he continues baking BUT I'm happy that my baby has a chance if I were to go into preterm labor. Ok! since Easter my stomach popped out even more, it has grown and you can def. tell that I'm pregnant and not just fatter. Little Nate is also moving TONS! constantly and loves to go through my skin when I'm bend over or getting off the bed and it always scares me. I usually jump or scream cause its that intense of a kick, doesn't hurt but it startles me every time.

I was just imagining how he would look and I think he's gonna look exactly like Bubbs. In the ultrasound pic you can see his huge cheeks and his profile looks like Bubbs already it's so cute. I can't wait to meet this little guy! he's so wanted by everyone.

So my friend wants to have me a baby shower but Naty and I aren't liking that idea so we decided not to have one. I'll just invite people over to see him after he's born cause I can not deal with another party right now. I'm still recovering from Bubbs' party and that was MONTHS ago. I'd rather celebrate his life in another way, probably a BBQ after he's here already. But we need to start getting ready and buying things here and there cause I don't want to be getting things at the last minute. I'll start with his all in one diapers and collecting clothes from friends, lol. I have 2 friends that want to pass on their baby clothes and I say, bring them on! anyway, back to cleaning....

23 Weeks

23 Weeks Pregnant

23 weeks already! and feeling the weight and pressure already. A lot of people say that I don't even look pregnant but I feel it and my stomach really popped in the last 3 days and for Easter I looked really big, lol.

I'm having a lot of leg pain and Naty made me walk last night and I felt so heavy when we we're done but I know its going to help me except for the part that he wanted to walk to King Taco, he's crazy! I said, heck no! But I did buy the maternity belt but don't really wear it since it feels a little uncomfortable.

The baby has been moving like crazy and I feel him everyday, ALL DAY! He's constantly moving around in there and esp. when I'm sitting or laying down he becomes the most active. I can feel him now! while I sit and type, he's up high already and trying to go through my skin. On Easter he kicked me really hard that it scared me but I was happy right after cause I knew he was ok.

On my last appt. my doc said everything was good and his heartbeat was at 150 which is really strong. I also had a little scare and had to go to the L&D but no contractions but a high fever, after lots of blood tests they said I was coming down with something and sure enough the next day I was miserable and was sick for about 1.5 weeks.

My next appt. is April 30th

19 Weeks Pregnant

Since I'll be having Nathaniel a week earlier at 39 weeks I'm half way done baking! I'll be having another c-section and not attempting the VBAC, don't want to go through all that then it not work. I did that once and don't plan on doing it again.

Right now I can say that I'm feeling my best and have lots of energy. I'm just counting down the days for spring break b/c I need to get on this house and make room for the baby. I've decided to borrrow my Godson's crib since he doesn't use it then I'll give it back to my sis n law.

I just remembered that I haven't posted his latest ultrasound picture where you can see his big cheeks already. He reminds me so much of Bubbs already, I can't wait! Anyway, I better get back to studying I have test tomorrow. goodnight

18 Weeks

18 Weeks Pregnant

18 weeks and it's going great! I love my baby :-) he's so wanted and I can't wait to hold him in my arms. We're all in love with him and still haven't met him, he's one lucky baby! After I found out that he was a boy I took Audrey to Wally's and she picked out a monkey outfit and a onesie with a massive cow on it! LOL!! it was sooooooo cute that I couldn't say no to her! esp. cause she was thinking of the baby, aaaww my baby. Bubbs is really happy that it's a boy and he's going to have so much fun with him. I just see how he plays with our Godson Miguelito and how gentle he is with him that I know he's going to be a good big brother. Naty is just on cloud 9 right now and touches my BIG belly every night.

I better go to bed now, this time change has really screwed us up and it's going to take a while to get used to it. So I'm off to bed......

17 weeks and an annoucement!

17 Weeks Pregnant

17 weeks and feeling loads better than before. Sleeping hasn't been an issue cause I've been going to bed late so I fall asleep really fast. I had my BIG ultrasound today and we're having a little BOY!


I wasn't surprised cause I already knew it was a boy. Naty and everyone else were so excited. Steph went with me to the u/s and we got to see his little Weenis. I'm very sure that he's a boy---ALL BOY! So he will be Nathaniel but not sure about his middle name since Naty isn't really digging Xavier, we'll see.

But I got new pis of him so I'll have to scan them soon. AAWWW I'm so in love with this boy and I haven't met him! He already has big cheeks. I'm so HAPPY!

After my u/s I had some blood work drawn. I honestly don't know why I agreed to it, it's really dumb if you ask me. It's just a risk test but doesn't make ANY sense. Whatever! Ok, well I better go to BED, I'm so tired and this little boy is moving still. He's getting stronger everyday.
